The Past of Backgammon – Now and Then

Backgammon is the oldest game in history. It has been called as the "little battle," backgammon appeared in ancient Iraq over 5 millennia ago. However, Egyptians referred to backgammon as "Senat," which is a similar form of the current game enjoyed today. Hundreds of years ago, just individuals in power, the ruling figures of aristocracy like Egyptian queens, were able to play. The game began to expand worldwide in time. Numerous Backgammon types were created in many regions and civilizations, but the basic protocols of those variants are similar to those of the archaic form . For instance, Greece grabbed a hold of the game and coined the name "bac gamen." From there, the Anglo’s adopted backgammon in the seventeenth century and have remained with it ever since. Backgammon and competing old games were never approved by a good many churches. The religious believe that the game was the tool of the Devil. This led churches to ban and burn the game. The banishment and burning had never stop many people wagering on games and being entertained.
Computers offer an additional arena for Backgammon. When different electronic games are for sale all-over the place, computer academics in Artificial Intelligence (AI) use Backgammon for assessing, developing and analyzing AI theories and algorithms because of the ease of game codes and complexity of plans.
