The best scenario to employ this tactic is when you believe you might be able to move your own chips quicker than your opponent does: when 1) you have a fewer chips on the board; 2) all your pieces have moved beyond your competitor’s checkers; or 3) your opponent does not use the hitting or blocking technique.

The Blocking Game Tactic

The primary aim of the blocking strategy, by its name, is to stop your competitor’s checkers, temporarily, while not worrying about moving your checkers rapidly. As soon as you have created the blockade for your competitor’s movement with a couple of pieces, you can shift your other chips swiftly from the game board. You really should also have an apparent strategy when to withdraw and move the pieces that you employed for the blockade. The game becomes intriguing when the opposition uses the same blocking tactic.
